What you’ll be able to do
Make fastingwork for your life
By the last page you’ll know how fasting works, which method suits you and how to fit it around real life.
- Pick a fasting method that suits your schedule and goals
- Plan balanced, nutrient-dense meals for your eating window
- Manage hunger, energy dips and plateaus with confidence
- Adapt your approach for training, hormones and later life
- Build a routine, and a support network, that keeps you going
Choose your method
Find the rhythmthat fits your day
There's no single right way to fast. Tap a method to see how it shapes a typical day or week. The book explains each one and helps you choose.
A gentle first step
Finish dinner, then wait 12 hours before breakfast. The book suggests starting here so your body, and your gut, can adjust without feeling overwhelmed.
The most popular method
Fast for 16 hours and eat within an 8-hour window, for example from noon until 8pm. Flexible enough to fit around work, family and social plans.
Two lighter days a week
Eat normally five days a week and keep to around 500–600 calories on two non-consecutive days, such as Tuesday and Friday.
Every other day
Alternate regular eating days with fasting or very low-calorie days. A bigger commitment, so the book covers how to prepare and when to ease off.
Longer, occasional fasts
Fasts of 24 hours or more, with a full chapter on preparation, hydration, electrolytes and the safety precautions to take first.
